How do I use IDEA with gpg? (thanks freiheit)

If you know someone that uses IDEA to encrypt messages and you use gpg.

First read this:

http://www.gnupg.org/why-not-idea.html

Then if you still want to use IDEA.

Download.
Decompress.
Verify sig.
Read source for compile time instruction.
The command it has in the current version is:
gcc -Wall -O2 -shared -fPIC -o idea idea.c
Then move the file idea to /usr/lib/gnupg
Append load-extension idea to your personal ~/.gnupg/gnupg.confOr if you have the older config ~/.gnupgp/options file.
