Whoopee! Lycos and Ultraseek offer tools to search for referrers to a website.

Caveats:

• These methods will only report on sites that are in the search engine's database (They works by doing a reverse lookup into the search engine's existing databases.)
• I tried them both just once on one site, and found the Lycos results to be much more useful than Infoseek's. YMMV.

1. Lycos

1. Go to http://lycospro.lycos.com/
2. In the left-hand navbar, click on "Link Referrals"
3. Fill out the form in the middle of the page, then click on the yellow "Go Get It!" button at the top of the page. (VERY poor design, but that's how they do it.)

2. Infoseek

1. Go to http://www.go.com/WebDir/
2. Click on "Search Options" (Hard to see - it's right on top the "My Page" tab.)
3. On the first line of the Advanced Search Form, change "Document" to Hyperlink" in the pull-down menu.
   Line should read: "Hyperlink must contain the phrase"
   Enter your URL at the end of the line.

   On the 4th line, change "Show only" to "Exclude", and enter your domain, to exclude referrals from the website you want to get referrers for.

   (Caveat - i did this, and it still reported links from my website. Plus i got much less referrers overall.)

   Click on search.
