 You guys should really be reading soc.culture.magyar (or, hopefully 
soon, .hungarian ;-)) wher we're just having a thread on this. The short 
of it: the character set is ISO standard, and much of the world outside 
the USA seems to use it. Usenet per se does not support it (yet), but the 
European and latin-American portions of the net typically do. Most modern 
mailers are 8-bit clean as well (except my Ultrix sendmail, 'course ;-(). 
So mail-wise it's mostly OK to transmit even here, with sending news 
you're taking chances (and I wish people wouldn't just yet, for it's 
gonna take awhile before such an Un-American thing gets widely supported 
in the good ole' USA ;-().
