I have to take the blame for giving the suggestion to the staff of
Hungary.Network (WWW address is deliberately deleted to avoid
advertising :-)), that HOL-announce is one of the few places that
people are actually interested in announcements.

I read this in the HOL guidelines:

I decided that a NON-commercial site announcement would nicely fit.
Well, if the list owner says I was wrong, so then I was wrong.
Sorry about that.

I deeply share your concerns about spams, because I have something to
defend, too: HIX. I am happy to find a fighter on the same side,
even if it came up on my misjudgement.

As far as the TourInform web-site goes, they have a press conference
coming on October 4, 10am in Hotel Hilton Budapest.
I am sure the audience will have plenty of opportunities to ask
questions. And I am afraid we will have to wait till then for
answers regarding traffic, future plans, the meaning of the
Universe and other exciting stuff... :-)
