Thus, I'm sending out a feeler to see what kind of jobs are out there. For those of you who don't know me (i.e. most of you) or read my articles, the following is a very general outline: I'm a Canadian who has been living in Hungary on/off for the past eight years; most of my time spent has been working with the Ministry of Education in the guest teacher programme. Since the situation has been steadily deteriorating, I wouldn't mind a shift in my career. I am also a freelance writer and regularly contribute to publications in the US and Canada. I also have experience in computers: I'm participating the EC's 4th Framework of the Telematics Programme as well as a contributor to the EC's task force on multimedia applications in education. Apart from basic computer competence, I have about five years networking experience. I've also helped in compiling the FAQ on Online services in Hungary, though I admit that because of an increased workload and unforseen distractions I have not been able to update it for a while (I hope to do so before the year is up). This is everything in a nutshell. More specific info can be obtained on request (including a CV). However, like I said this is just a feeler; I might end up staying where I am. I just would like to see what is out there. Send all suggestions, comments, offers, money, etc either publicly on HOL or privately to jhorv@helka.iif.hu (postal address: Budapest 1462 Pf. 464). It wouldn't be a bad idea to circulate your ideas or suggestions on HOL in case anyone else might be looking for something but is too shy to ask. Bye for now, John :) ############# # This message to Hungary-Online@hungary.yak.net # was from John Horvath # # To unsubscribe, # send "unsubscribe" to # An announcement-only subscription (less volume) is available # at # Send mail to for more information, # or to if you need human assistance. #############
